§ Mrs. CurrieHealth authorities are required to dispose of surplus land in a publicly acceptable manner and, in general, to obtain the full market price. There are provisions under which with Ministers' agreement, surplus land can be leased to voluntary bodies on concessionary terms, provided the use to be made of the land complements a NHS service. Land cannot be gifted without the approval of my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
