§ Mrs. RoeThe annual housing investment programme allocations take into account local authorities' needs for expenditure under the housing defects legislation. Those authorities with particular housing defects problems have also been able to bid for a share of the £20 million reserve put aside nationally for 1988–89. My right hon. Friend expects to decide these additional allocations within the next few weeks.
