§ Mr. KirkwoodTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make it his policy that responses received to consultative documents issued by his Department be made publicly available in his Department's library, except where the respondent has specifically asked that this not he done; and if he will arrange for this procedure to be made clear when future consultative documents are issued.
§ Mr. EggarAlthough Foreign and Commonwealth Office consultative documents are few in number we have a clear policy to make as much information available as possible while preserving the confidentiality essential to the effective working of Government.
