To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many bullets were fired at the three Irish Republican Army terrorists killed in Gibraltar on Sunday 6 March; what were the points of entry into the bodies; and at what range the shots were fired in each case.

Mr. Mellor

A coroner's inquest will be held on those killed. It would not be appropriate for me to comment further.

Mr. Skinner

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he intends to hold an inquiry into the shooting incident in Gibraltar on 6 March.

Mr. Mellor

No. An inquest will be held by the Gibraltar coroner. In accordance with local law, this will be held with a jury.
