§ Mr. MellorWe regret the denial of basic human rights in Iraq, and the harsh treatment meted out to the Kurds causes particular concern. We take every opportunity to express our concern to the Iraqis about abuses of human rights in their country, and did so most recently during my visit to Iraq from 23 to 26 February.
