To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will meet councillors and representatives of residents in Ewloe concerning their objections to the Redrow development Ewloe, Deeside; and if he will make a statement.

No. Redrow Commercial Developments Ltd. has appealed to my right hon. Friend following the failure of Alyn and Deeside district council to determine within the prescribed period its application for planning permission for development of land at Ewloe, Clwyd. Arrangements are being made for a public inquiry to be held into the appeal and, in view of this, it would not be appropriate for my right hon. Friend to meet local representatives to discuss the proposed development.
