§ Mr. Peter BottomleyWe announced on 5 January our plans to widen the M6 between the M56 and M62, including Thelwall viaduct, to dual four lanes with hardshoulders.
The £58 million scheme includes a new viaduct alongside the existing one for southbound traffic and rebuilding the existing structure for northbound traffic. Construction might start in about four years.
