To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make it his policy not to permit sales of National Bus Company subsidiaries which significantly undervalue the book value of the assets concerned.

Each National Bus Company subsidiary has been widely marketed with a view to establishing through competitive bidding a market valuation of the business as a going concern.
