§ Mr. Donald Thompson[holding answer 17 December 1987]: The information requested is contained in the following tables. There was no change in milk quotas between 1985–86 and 1986–87.
Data on milk production were obtained from Eurostat, and represent quantities within the Eurostat definition of "deliveries to dairies". This differs from the definition of "wholesale deliveries" for quota purposes, and hence the Eurostat milk production figures are not directly comparable with quota. Levels of quota were taken from the appropriate EC regulations, including allocations of quota from the Community reserve.
