My right hon. and learned Friend has received many representations in recent months, particularly with regard to planting in Caithness and Sutherland.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is satisfied that the Forestry Commission is paying sufficient regard to the need to sustain broadleaf woodland in its tree planting policy and its storm damage replacement plans and in advice concerning agricultural set-aside.
