To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many responses he has received from health boards in Scotland to his circular on competitive tendering; and how many have been entirely supportive of his proposals.

All health boards have agreed to proceed to implement the programme of competitive tendering set out in the Scottish Home and Health Department's letter of 11 December.
