Mr. Heddle

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he proposes to take to compel those local councils which are not using, under-using, inefficiently managing, or wasting £100 billion of assets, as identified in the recent Audit Commission report on local authority property assets, to dispose of those assets; and if he will make a statement.
