(2) how many places there are in private residential care homes for the elderly; and what has been the percentage change since 1979;
(3) how many places there are in homes for the elderly owned or operated by churches, charities, housing associations or other voluntary organisations; and what has been the percentage change since 1979.
§ Mr. Michael ForsythProvisional figures are available separately for places in voluntary and private homes for the elderly in 1987, but for 1979 a single total only is available. There were 2,306 places in private homes and 4,441 places in voluntary homes in 1987 an increase of 30.1 per cent. over the 1979 total.
