HC Deb 22 February 1988 vol 128 c72W
37. Mr. McCrindle

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if, when he next meets the chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, he will raise with him the possible overcrowding of the skies around London.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

My right hon. Friend frequently meets the chairman of the authority to discuss matters of mutual interest, including air space issues affecting the London area, for which the authority is reponsible. My right hon. Friend will be visiting the London air traffic control centre in the near future to see the current provision of air traffic services and to discuss the plans of the national air traffic services for the future.
