§ Mr. Peter BottomleySeventy miles per hour on motorways is a safe speed limit for coaches in normal traffic and weather conditions. We are making regulations to require coaches to be fitted with speed limiters which will ensure this is not exceeded. There are no Community proposals for harmonised speed limits currently under consideration.
