§ Mr. NewtonWe have received around 850 representations on nurses' pay levels for 1988–89 in the last two months. The level of pay for nurses is a matter for the independent nurses' pay review body which is expected to make its recommendations on pay levels for 1988–89 to my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister in the spring.
