§ Mr. FoulkesTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations have been made to the Chilean Government concerning the arrest and detention of Rocio Reyes, a former United Kingdom resident, and reports from Amnesty International of threats to Ms. Reyes.
§ Mr. EggarSenorita Reyes was released without charge on 12 September 1987 after nine days in detention. Her Majesty's embassy in Santiago has remained in touch with her. Neither the embassy nor, I understand, Amnesty International is aware of threats made against Senorita Reyes since her release.
