§ Mr. Michael ForsythThe introduction of a national breast cancer screening service in Scotland for all women aged between 50 and 64 will be a phased programme. The188W first four centres, in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee, will come into operation during the course of this year and we aim to have the remaining centres in operation by 1991. We shall consult individual health boards about the location and commissioning of the remaining centres required to provide a national screening service. The current diagnostic facilities for breast examination will continue to be available in the normal way for women in Ayrshire and elsewhere.
