§ Mr. Barry Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list for each local education authority, in each of the years 1979–80 to the current year (a) the numbers of (i) primary and (ii) secondary school teachers on temporary contract, (b) the numbers of secondary teachers redeployed to primary schools, (c) the numbers of permanent staff taking early retirement and (d) the numbers of part-time teachers.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsFigures on the numbers of teachers on temporary contract and secondary school teachers redeployed are not available. Data on full-time staff moving from secondary to primary schools are, however, given in table A. Table B shows the numbers of staff from maintained schools and colleges of higher and further education taking premature retirement. The numbers of part-time qualified teachers in maintained schools are shown in table C.
