Ms. Richardson asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will list (a) the members of the National Food Survey Committee, (b) the criteria for selection of members, (c) the relevant qualifications of present members, (d) the number of Trades Union Congress-nominated places and (e) how many Trades Union Congress-nominated places are held by women.

(b) The Committee includes officials responsible for administering the survey and other members are selected to reflect particular expertise necessary to ensure that the survey is run efficiently. For instance, advice on survey methods is sought from statisticians, on nutritional aspects from within the food science profession and on econometric analysis from University economists.
