Mr. HendersonTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement on the timetable for the implementation of his plans to require trades unions to keep their accounting records available for inspection and to give trades union members the right to inspect those records on request accompanied by an accountant.
§ Mr. NichollsThe right for a trade union member and his accountant to inspect the accounting records of his union is provided by part I of the Employment Bill. It is intended that part I of the measure will be brought into force by order on a date to be specified.
