§ 26. Mrs. WiseTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether child care facilities and payments will be offered to parents under 18 years who have to take up a YTS place under the provisions in the current Employment and Social Security Bills.
§ Mr. CopeNo one will be forced to take up a place on YTS under the provisions of the present Employment and Social Security Bills. YTS is and will remain a voluntary scheme. Special arrangements have been made in the Social Security Bill to protect the position of parents under 18 who will remain entitled to income support.
