§ Mrs. Peacockasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will produce a circular to be sent to all parent governors of schools, providing guidelines on the changes introduced in the Education (No. 2) Act 1986 and on the responsibilities of such governors regarding the running of schools.
§ Mr. DunnThe Department's circular 8/86 contained some guidance on the provisions of the Education (No. 2) Act 1986 and was sent to all schools in December 1986. The second circular of guidane on the Act will be issued in draft for consultation shortly and will be available in its final form later this year.
