HC Deb 24 July 1987 vol 120 c713W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will visit south Manchester to discuss with the district health authority and representatives of hospital staffs there the impending cuts in expenditure of £5.9 million in the period up to 31 March 1989.

Mrs. Currie

[pursuant to her reply, 20 July 1987, c. 70]: I regret that my earlier reply contained an error. The figure quoted for real terms growth in revenue expenditure in South Manchester health authority between 1982–83 and 1985–86 should read 1.6 per cent. For this year the district's initial cash allocation is £88.5 million.
