§ Mr. Bill Michieasked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the Health and Safety Executive's estimate for the number of CIMAH small inventory top tier sites; and for how many CIMAH small inventory top tier sites the plans required by CIMAH regulation 11 are prepared or in preparation.
§ Mr. CopeAt 31 March 1987, the Health and Safety Executive was aware of 66 premises which appeared to meet the criteria laid down for small inventory top tier sites. To date, the HSE has confirmed that 29 sites attract regulations 7 to 12 of the Control of Industrial Major Accident Hazard Regulations 1984. Of these, 12 have off-site plans completed or in preparation. Inspectors are continuing to check sites for potential risks.
