HC Deb 24 July 1987 vol 120 c667W
Sir Bernard Braine

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what action has been taken or is now proposed regarding the recommendation of the National Radiological Protection Board that standards of permissible exposure of humans to radio frequency and microwave radiation should be revised; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Cope

The National Radiological Protection Board is re-examining the proposals contained in its consultative document on possible standards of protection in this field. It expects to report further on this topic in due course, taking account of the comments made on the consultative document and recent consultation with the Medical Research Council on the biological effects of radio frequency and microwave radiation.
