HC Deb 10 February 1987 vol 110 c200W
55. Mrs. Renée Short

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what approval he or the Trent regional health authority gave to Lincolnshire health authority's proposal to raise money for the hospital service by allowing funeral directors to advertise their services in hospital corridors in return for a fee.

Mr. Newton

I understand that this proposal was one of many concerned with income generation discussed by the North Lincolnshire district health authority last year. The authority does not intend to proceed with it and no approach about it has been made, either to the Trent regional health authority or to Ministers.
