§ The Prime MinisterThe United Kingdom raised the issue of improved protection in Korea for its intellectual property at the Anglo-Korean bilateral economic policy consultations in Seoul last month. We were informed that the Koreans were preparing legislation on copyright to go to the National Assembly this year and that it was their intention to accede to one of the international copyright conventions in 1987. We shall continue to monitor the situation and the matter will be raised in the course of President Chun Doo Hwan's visit.
