HC Deb 04 March 1986 vol 93 c101W
Mr. Gould

asked the Paymaster General if he will take steps to restore the 50 premium places on the youthline scheme in Barking, Waltham Forest and Redbridge and cancel the decision to reduce the number of such places to 35.

Mr. Trippier

No. The distribution of premium places is the responsibility of the Manpower Services Commission's area offices in consultation with Area Manpower Boards and referral services such as the careers service. Eleven further premium places have become available in the London north-east area, and a sub committee of the area manpower board will meet on 14 March to consider proposals from providers before making a final decision about their allocation.
