§ Mr. Cabornasked the Paymaster General how many grade IB Health and Safety Executive inspectors he expects to leave the Health and Safety Executive in 1986 based on previous years; and how many Health and Safety Executive grade IB inspectors are to be appointed in 1986.
§ Mr. Trippier[pursuant to his reply, 3 March 1986, c. 7]: Between 1982 and 1985 the number of factory inspectors leaving the Health and Safety Executive each 102W year was between six and 12. It is planned to recruit some 35 factory inspectors during 1986–87. All appointments will be as inspectors class II, the basic training grade.
