asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is carrying out an investigation into the hazards of plasticisers incorporated into food wrapping materials, as reported in The Times of 23rd July, and if so when their report may be expected.

Her Majesty's Government are currently investigating the use of plasticisers in food wrapping materials. We expect to publish a full report of this work next year.
