§ Mr. David HuntThe Severn tidal power group has included in its recent report a preliminary examination of the environmental impact of a tidal barrage in the Severn estuary. This report has now been published and copies have been placed in the Libraries of both Houses. Before a decision is taken on the construction of a barrage in any estuary in the United Kingdom, a full environmental study on that estuary would be necessary.
