§ Mr. Andrew F. Bennettasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on recommendations affecting his Department's responsibility contained in "Containing Crisis: the Response to Overseas Student Groups in Hardship", a copy of which has been sent to him.
§ Mr. WaldenMy right hon. Friend is considering those recommendations in "Containing Crisis" which relate to his areas of responsibility, but is not yet able to make a statement. The report is to be discussed later this month by representatives of Government Departments and other organisations concerned at the fourth "round table" meeting on matters concerning overseas students, to be chaired by my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.
