§ Mr. Dewarasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if the proposal for community charge for the occupancy of Crown property, outlined in paragraph G.37 of the Green Paper, "Paying for Local Government", Cmnd. 9714, will apply to places occupied by the armed forces of other countries.
§ Mr. WaldegraveAt present properties in Britain used by our NATO allies are treated as Crown property for rating purposes. The treatment of such property under the proposed system will be dealt with as part of the separate consultation on Crown property referred to in annex G, paragraph G.34 of the Green Paper.
