HC Deb 12 December 1986 vol 107 c300W
Mr. Wilson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the practice of Her Majesty's Inspectorate on release of its reports to its subjects in relation to the time of release to the press; and why reports were denied to staff at Aberdeen college of education before release to the press.

Mr. John MacKay

The normal practice of providing copies of a report about one week in advance of its general release to those responsible for the management of the establishments concerned was followed. Copies were made available to staff at the same time as the report was released to the press.
