Dr. Cunningham

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will publish details of all services, subsidies and expenditure previously undertaken by the Greater London council which were transferred to (a) the Sports Council and (b) Thames water, showing for each body the details of services transferred and the total expenditure in 1986–87 on those services;

(2) if he will publish details of all services, subsidies and expenditure previously undertaken by the Greater London council which were transferred to (a) the Arts Council, (b) regional arts associations, (c) the South Bank board, (d) the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission, (e) the City of London, (f) the Inner London education authority, (g) English Heritage and (h) other institutions, showing for each body the details of services transferred and the total expenditure in 1986–87 on those services.

The destinations of functions formerly carried out by the GLC were set out in my Department's circular No. 8/86, issued on 18 March 1986. A copy is available in the Library.

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish the total current expenditure of each London borough in 1985–86 and 1986–87 (budgets) showing what part of the 1986–87 budget is attributed to services inherited from the Greater London Council.
