§ Mr. Campbell-Savoursasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what information is being made available to the general public living in areas subjected to crop spraying of the health effects of crop spraying.
§ Mr. John PattenIt would not be practicable to issue such advice to the general public. Properly conducted crop 101W spraying should not give rise to adverse health effects. However, anyone who is concerned about possible health effects should consult his general practitioner. A booklet — "Pesticide Poisoning: notes for the guidance of medical practitioners"—has been issued to all GPs and to hospital accident and emergency departments.
