Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether local private medical facilities are relevant local circunmstances to be taken into account by regions when determining financial allocations to districts.

Regional health authorities are quite entitled to have regard to the level of private medical facilities as one of the factors to be taken into account when allocating resources to health districts.
