asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will seek to include the pay and working conditions of those employed in the care of horses within the remit of the Agricultural Wages Board.

Those employees who care for horses used in the farming of the land are already covered by the Agricultural Wages Board's rates and conditions. But the majority of those working with horses are not employed in agriculture and there is no justification for bringing them within the remit of the board.
