§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Prime Minister what assessment she makes, in developing her policy for the normalisation of relations with Argentina, of statements made by Argentine Ministers and former Ministers regarding the conduct of the Falklands war; and if she will make a statement.
§ The Prime MinisterThere have been conflicting Argentine statements. We remain prepared to work for more normal bilateral relations with Argentina. We shall at the same time stand by our commitment to defend the Falkland islanders' right to live in peace and security under a Government of their own choosing.
