HC Deb 23 October 1984 vol 65 c547W
Mr. Parry

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the Minister of State's recent visit to Africa.

Mr. Rifkind

I visited Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi from 17 to 25 September at the invitation of their Governments, as part of the normal exchanges of visits with friendly states. I called on the President of each of those countries, and discussed with Ministers and senior officials a wide range of bilateral and regional issues. As well as discussing opportunities for British trade and investment, I was able to indicate new bilateral aid.
