asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many firms have been prosecuted for employing child labour in Hong Kong over the five years to the latest available date.

From 1 January 1979 to 30 September 1984, 1,339 cases of child labour, each involving one child, were prosecuted. Statistics on the number of individual firms involved are not available.
