HC Deb 23 October 1984 vol 65 cc547-8W
Mr. Parry

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on current relations between Her Majesty's Government and the Government of Libya.

Mr. Luce

Our chief concern is the continuing and totally unjustified detention in Libya of four British citizens. We are continuing to make vigorous representations through the Italian protecting power and through other channels. Until all the detainees are released unconditionally we cannot begin to consider ways of dealing with other matters between the two Governments.
