§ Mr. Lathamasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has received, either directly or through third parties, any request by or on behalf of Yasser Arafat for a visa to enter the United Kingdom during the month of December; and whether he will ensure that any such request is refused, in the interests of security and public order.
§ Mr. WaddingtonAn inquiry has been made about the possibility of Mr. Arafat's coming to the United Kingdom in connection with the publication of a biography of him. But no application has been made for a visa and no decision on Mr. Arafat's admission has therefore been taken.
