§ 25. Mr. Hunterasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what discussions on cross-border security co-operation he has recently had; and what discussions he is currently conducting with the authorities in the Republic of Ireland.
§ Mr. HurdI had discussions on a wide range of matters when I met the Irish Republic's Minister for Foreign Affairs on 25 October. I was also glad to meet the Irish Minister for Justice on that occasion. I met the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs again during the meeting between my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister and the Taoiseach on 18 and 19 November. I look forward to continuing discussions with members of the Irish Government on matters of common concern, including security co-operation.
