asked Her Majesty's Government:

When they hope to announce details of the new long-term plans to dispose of the grain surplus to British requirements which as stated by Lord Lucas of Chilworth on 14th November (Lords Hansard, col. 312) they "are looking at… in isolation"; and whether such plans will be in operation to help dispose of the estimated 8 million tonnes surplus from the 1984 harvest.

): Her Majesty's Government are considering whether any changes to the terms on which the Export Credits Guarantee Department supports exports of grain are appropriate. A decision will be made as soon as possible.
