§ Sir Keith JosephThe projections set out in DES "Report on Education 100" take account of trends towards an increased proportion of young people obtaining the qualifications for entry to higher education. The Department will monitor closely the demand for post-16 education, including changes associated with the Government's policies to improve the standards achieved by pupils of compulsory school age.
