§ Mr. Terry Davisasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) when he expects to take a decision on the proposal to open a new primary school at Leigh road, Saltley;
(2) when his Department received a proposal from the City of Birmingham council for a new primary school at Leigh road, Saltley.
§ Mr. DunnThe authority published these proposals on 10 August 1983 and submitted them to my right hon. Friend on the same date; subsequently it requested my right hon. Friend on 24 November 1983, if he were minded to approve the proposals, to modify their date of implementation from September 1984 to September 1985. My right hon. Friend realises that all concerned are now anxious for an early decision. He will announce that decision as soon as he has completed his consideration of all the circumstances of the case.
