§ Mr. MellorI regret that the statement that Mr. Siddique had not applied to the governor for permission to grow a beard, whilst correct when the reply was prepared was no longer correct when the reply was sent to the hon. Member on Monday 12 November. Following an application to the governor, Mr. Siddique was granted permission to grow a beard on Sunday 11 November.
