§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will give the number of police support units (or their equivalents) for each police force in England and Wales in 1981 and 1984.
§ Mr. Giles ShawPolice support units are not maintained on a permanent basis. They consist of 23 officers drawn together from normal operational duties to make a unit as and when required.
